Berkeley International Office (BIO)
Berkeley International Office's mission is to enhance the academic experiences of international students and scholars by providing the highest levels of knowledge and expertise in advising, immigration services, advocacy, and programming to the UC Berkeley campus community.
Berkeley Underground Scholars (BUS)
Berkeley Underground Scholars (BUS) creates a pathway for incarcerated, formerly incarcerated and system impacted individuals into higher education. We are building a prison-to-school pipeline through recruitment, retention, and advocacy. BUS is an academic support program housed within the Division of Equity and Inclusion at UC Berkeley.
Cal Veteran Services Center
The Cal Veteran Services Center is dedicated to providing programs and services in support of the academic and personal success of student veterans. As a supportive and inclusive community, we are committed to increasing student veteran access to and awareness of campus resources and enrichment opportunities. The center also promotes campus and community engagement and leadership development that enrich and support students' academic and professional goals. The Cal Veteran Services Center carries out the University commitment to access and equity for students and plays a key role in campus outreach and recruitment of student veterans.
Career Center
The Career Center offers a variety of job help resources for students from career counseling sessions, resume/cover letter feedback, and more. This is a great support center for students and alumni who are on an active job search and could use support on areas such as interview and job fair preparations, as well as resume and cover letter writing
Career Counseling Library
The Career Counseling Library is a unique collection of books, files, directories and electronic resources staffed by a professional staff who will help you explore majors, careers and graduate programs. They also provide stress management counseling, individual career counseling appointments, and career assessments.
Centers for Educational Equity and Excellence (CE3)
The Centers for Educational Equity and Excellence ensure non-traditional students excel at the top public University in the world. By respecting every undergraduate as a unique individual, CE3 programs empower UC Berkeley students to achieve and lead. CE3 is comprised of several programs and centers.
Centers for Education Justice and Community Engagement (CEJCE)
The Centers for Educational Justice & Community Engagement (EJCE) at UC Berkeley is a collaborative of offices and centers that advocate for, build capacity with and dialogue among and across diverse communities. Our community engagement approach enriches the academic success of students while fostering a campus climate that honors the dignity of all people. Each partner space is steeped in rich and vibrant legacies and established community-centered praxes of educational justice: leadership development, access, activism, academic excellence and social justice. Disability Student Program (DSP)
The Disabled Students' Program promotes an inclusive environment for students with disabilities. We equip disabled students with appropriate accommodations and services to achieve their individual academic goals. We are dedicated to supporting disabled students and collaborating with the campus community to remove barriers to educational access and embrace the University’s values of equity and inclusion. We believe that an accessible environment universally benefits everyone.
Educational Opportunities Program (EOP)
For over 55 years, the Educational Opportunity Program at Berkeley has provided first generation, low-income, and underrepresented college students with the guidance and resources necessary to succeed at the best public university in the world.
EOP academic counselors and student staff work alongside amazing students who, despite their unique responsibilities and challenges, transform their lives through academic achievement and personal growth. EOP’s individualized academic counseling, comprehensive support services, and extensive campus referral network help students develop the unique gifts and talents they each bring to the university while empowering them to achieve.
Multicultural Center (MCC)
A student-won, student-led space, the Multicultural Community Center strives to integrate student-driven and community-oriented management, decision-making and visioning in everything that we do. In conjunction with our close partners, the MCC facilitates students' greater involvement in multicultural-related education, collaborations and cross/inter-cultural community building.
Student Parent Center
The Student Parent Center is committed to the holistic support and success of a highly motivated population of undergraduate and graduate students who are engaged scholars, as well as devoted parents at UC Berkeley. The center is a centralized multi-purpose campus resource, where students can seek informed advice, develop leadership skills, engage in informal study groups, nurse babies, change diapers, celebrate achievements, recover from setback, and form lasting friendships.
Transfer Student Center
The Transfer Student Center provides services to current UC Berkeley transfer students from other colleges and universities with navigating the academic and cultural landscape of one of the top research universities in the world. Our programs and services focus on supporting a successful transition, fostering connections and a strong sense of community among transfers, and empowering students as they explore and pursue their academic and career goals. The center plays a key role in campus outreach and recruitment through yield events and active participation in programs involving California Community Colleges. We are located in 100 Cesar Chavez Student Building.
Undocumented Students Program (USP)
USP practices a holistic, multicultural and solution-focused approach that delivers individualized service for each student. The mental health support, academic counseling, legal support, financial aid resources and extensive campus referral network provided by USP helps students develop the unique gifts and talents they each bring to the university, while empowering a sense of belonging. The program’s mission is to support the advancement of undocumented students within higher education and promote pathways for engaged scholarship.
