The campus organizations, centers, and resources below are designed to support a students holistic wellness from physical to mental health. 


Basic Needs Center

The Basic Needs Center acts as a virtual and physical hub that supports students with food, housing, and financial stability resources, and connects students to other essential services. The Basic Needs Center is made up of three distinct physical spaces which provide community connection, individual care, and direct food support. All enrolled students including undergraduate, graduate, international, and undocumented students are eligible for Basic Needs Center programs and services. Students can access support from our team by completing our Assistance Form

Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS)

UHS Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) supports the emotional, psychological, educational, social and cultural development of all UC Berkeley students through a wide range of multiculturally based counseling, psychiatric, career, consultation, training and educational services.

Crisis Resources

The link above includes the phone numbers to access urgent drop-in counseling, sexual violence or domestic violence confidential services, support in the event of a campus tragedy or death, and the national crisis /suicide prevention hotlines.

Social Services

Our confidential counseling services are topic specific and aim to help students strengthen coping skills, problem solve, and identify resources. Social Services is open to all registered UC Berkeley students regardless of their insurance plan. 

Student Parent Program

The Student Parent Center is committed to the holistic support and success of a highly motivated population of undergraduate and graduate students who are engaged scholars, as well as devoted parents at UC Berkeley. The center is a centralized multi-purpose campus resource, where students can seek informed advice, develop leadership skills, engage in informal study groups, nurse babies, change diapers, celebrate achievements, recover from setback, and form lasting friendships.

Tang Center

Also known as University Health Services (UHS). UHS is at the forefront of advancing student health and faculty and staff wellness through health leadership, expertise, and discovery.  Our vision is to be a campus that actively cultivates better health and well-being for all — a place that can actually make you healthier! Through our bold leadership, we develop and implement initiatives that elevate health as essential to campus sustainability, viability, and humanity.
